Parents or caregivers of children aged 5 to 17 years who hold a valid Services Australia Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card with the child’s name on it are eligible to apply.

They have been used in the past to help locals register at Beaudesert Netball and Little Athletics clubs but are available for a wide range of sports in the Scenic Rim and Logan.

These include Beaudesert Soccer Club, Beaudesert Swimming Club and Beaudesert Scouts, Girl Guides and Boys Brigade.

Beaudesert Scouts group leader Margaret Manthey said locals had been using FairPlay vouchers to join the program for years, enabling them to enjoy physical activity, outdoor adventure, creative pursuits and life skills development.

“Parents who would like their kids to join, we’re happy to help them obtain a FairPlay voucher,” Ms Manthey said.

“They can use it for membership, they can use it for camp fees and quite a lot of things. It covers a lot of the cost for parents.”

At Boonah, the Fassifern Cricket Association and Fassifern Ladies Vigoro are also on the list of providers, as is the Fassifern Junior Rugby League Football Club.

Jimboomba organisations that accept FairPlay vouchers include Flagstone Netball Club, Jimboomba Amateur Basketball, Jimboomba Blue Jays Netball Club, Jimboomba Cricket Association.

Also on the list are Jimboomba United Football Club, Jimboomba Pony Club, Jimboomba Branch Little Athletics and Jimboomba Scouts.

A searchable list of FairPlay providers can be found online.
