Mother’s Day is looming on Sunday, May 14 and it is a day we all pay tribute to the person who gave birth to you or cared for you since you were young.
It is a special day to pay tribute to your Mum.
But for Lena Brinkworth of Hayborough, her Mother’s Day gift arrived a week earlier. Lena gave birth to a girl to join her three other children, Jemima, Felix and Eli on Monday, May 8.
“Everything is special being a Mum. It is a wild ride,” Lena said. “Kids bring a lot of joy to your life.
My husband (Andrew) is amazing.
“Lots of prayers goes into our children’s lives and having them all close together in ages (6,4, 2 and new born) helps as they get along together really well.” When asked if Lena was planning to have a fifth child, the answer was a quick “NO”.
“I think four children is plenty, but I get couples who want more, as being a parent is fantastic,” she said.
“Four kids is perfect for us. Andrew and I are looking forward to spending Mother’s Day at home with our four children.” One being a very special gift that will be only six days old.
